Yoga Pilgrimage II

This trip was named as Yoga Vedanta Pilgrimage,
This p word troubled me to pronounce correctly with L and R but I finally got it ! ;-)
(In Japanese L and R is same one pronunciation so..)

Not just the pronunciation.
I did not get the true meaning of pilgrimage until I went to Gangotri (the source of Ganga river), as I felt so comfortable heading there on the most rough road on the mountains. It was to touch the roots of Yoga and my soul. This is pilgrimage.

At Gangotri

Just like Indian ladies do, I put on pétticoat which is usually the under skirt of sari.
I soaked my entire body from the top of my head in to the river.

Water as well as air is so cold or even freezing, but it is more than cold.
It is indescribable comfortable feeling, pleasure of soul.

Here usually people take purest ganga water to home and tulse leaves wildly grown along the river.
The tulsi leaves contain a lot of oxygen and smells so good as if the whole trees and leaves of a forest was packed into it. Healing.

Ashram in Uttarakshi

There are three Sivananda Ashram in Uttarakashi.
In Netara, there is an ashram by Swami Vishnudevananda where TTC is hold.

Like last time, I got accomodated by the ashram of Swami Premananda who is the last direct disciple of Swami Sivananda Mahara ji.

He always smiles, laugh out loud. What an amazing person Maharaj.
He kindly had a question and answer session every evening, saying " I can answer any questions. You can try to trouble me by asking difficult questions but you can't ! hahahahha!  :-) "

His advice is vedantic, clear, logical. (I wrote about QA separately in Yoga Pilgrimage III.)

∞ FRIENDS ∞

Swami Shankarananda ji is my friend from California.

Now he is a walking swami! Only with a water bottle, he goes on walking in the vast continent of United States, even across the dessert. I cannot imagine well ... how much courage it takes to do this. He walks in India too from Haridwar to Uttarkashi. He talks sweetly about what he sees during his walking. I felt much power of trust, courage, sweetness from him and he was shining. The three ladies here are those who he met during his walk in US. Great teacher of mine, Swami Ramaswarupananda Sensei who guides my yogic life joyfully.
I am blessed to be with such wonderful people.
